WHAT TO EXPECT
Whether you are new to counselling or would like to return after time away from sessions, knowing a few details about what to expect can help reduce any nerves or anxieties you may have.

Counselling begins with an initial session. This first session will be a chance for us to meet and discuss what has brought you to counselling. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions which you might have and for you to see what you can expect from counselling. As everyone is unique, it is also a great chance to see if we would work well together. This initial counselling session is a reduced price of £20 and will last for 30-50 minutes.  It is commitment free.

If we decide we are happy to work together, we can then discuss whether short or longer term work feels right for you. Usually short-term counselling would last between 6 and 12 sessions. Long term work is more open ended but is regularly reviewed by us to make sure it is still the best choice for you.

Sessions are one to one and are usually weekly (at a regular time each week), last for 50 minutes and cost £40 per session. I firmly believe that counselling should be accessible to all and so I have a limited number of reduced rate slots, please contact me for availability and more information.

WHERE AM I BASED?
My counselling practice is based on Park Street in central Bristol and is close to the city centre, Clifton and other surrounding areas. Due to its central location it is easily accessible by public transport (with major bus routes running along Park Street and to the city centre which is less than 5 minutes walk away). If you are driving, there is a choice of pay and display on street parking and multi-storey carparks nearby.

The building is discreet and has a professional full-time reception staff who can bring you up to my practice room. There is lift access available but unfortunately the building does have a small number of steps.
